Our Story

Rooted in a rich family heritage, Weeks Farm holds a very special place in John's heart. As the son of Donnie and Barbara Weeks Stanley and the grandson of Leon (Lynn) and Laura Weeks, John's connection to the land is deeply woven with cherished memories of working alongside his grandparents. These memories include selling Bogue Sound watermelons and homegrown produce grown on the Weeks family property and nurturing his profound love and passion for family, farming, and community.

United in love for more than 30 years of marriage and inspired by generations past, John and his wife, Tonya, embarked on a heartfelt journey to bring their shared dream to life. Just like John's grandparents and parents before him, they began developing the property with the dream of working alongside each other. The dream began to take root in the spring of 2020 when the couple welcomed their first five Tennessee Fainting Goats to clear the underbrush, igniting a transformation of the land.

Honoring Julian's Legacy:

At Weeks Farm, the spirit of Julian, an integral part of their family and the community, remains cherished. Julian's life, spanning 100 years of farming, service in the Army, ownership of a menhaden plant, and a deep love for family, fishing, gardening, and beekeeping, left an enduring mark on the land. The farm is a living testament to his enduring spirit, and John and Tonya are forever thankful for the opportunities that have blossomed through his life's journey.

Our vision

As the fall of 2023 dawns, John and Tonya continue forward with their dream of pursuing the family love and tradition of gardening. Plans for a flourishing cut flower farm now take root, adding a blooming touch to Weeks Farm's offerings. The vision is to honor the heritage of the Weeks family, shaping the farm into a magical place where cherished memories come alive for all those who experience it.
